In answer to the question of the week…No. However, there are certain products which the USBC lists as "legal for use during competition" (see http://www.bowl.com/specs/ballCleaner.aspx). But YMMV for tournaments because at the USBC Open Championships, once a ball has been checked in no alteration of the bowling ball is allowed.
